Here-ness is a fear that we all have,

Lopsided landmarks that placate

the restlessness.

Cross-legged now, with a deep laugh:

Incessant, infernal, infallible waves

Roll over me with their powerful craft.


Don’t fight this, she whispers.

It’s like this, he nods.
